Our Family Relationship Officers will be in touch to confirm your booking. \nTo register interest click here!  \nAbout this Camp:\nREGISTRATIONS CLOSE 10 DAYS BEFORE THE CAMP. \nThe aim of the medium support service is to provide participants the opportunity to push some boundaries that they may not have been able to previously\, as well as provide opportunities to socialise and participate in group activities in a supportive and safe environment.  \nOur medium support services aim to enhance the participants’ independence by utilising different modes of transport\, experiencing engaging and interactive activities\, and taking part in life skills development. \n\nAges: 12-17\nCare Ratio: Mix of 1:1 and 1:2\nTime: Drop off is at 8.30am. Please note: Some dates may be fully booked or have limited availability.    \nTo register interest click here!  \nAbout our Camp: \nAt Cahoots\, we provide individualised\, community-based support services designed to help participants build independence\, develop life skills\, and increase social and community participation for our children and young people living with a disability.  \nOur group-based supports are delivered in a safe\, inclusive\, and structured environment by trained staff who tailor activities to each participant’s disability-related support needs and NDIS goals.  \nOur services are not “camps” in the traditional sense\, but rather structured support sessions delivered in community settings that provide participants with meaningful opportunities to:  \n\nLearn and practice daily living skills (e.g.\, personal care\, routines\, self-management) \n\n\nBuild social confidence and communication in group environments \n\n\nAccess the community safely with supervision (e.g.\, transport training) \n\n\nParticipate in recreational activities that foster wellbeing \n\n\nImprove emotional regulation and teamwork through structured group activities. \n\nOur service is delivered by trained staff who work with participants in ratios suited to their needs (e.g.\, 1:1\, 1:2)\, following NDIS quality and safeguarding standards.  \nImportant Note: \nCahoots works in partnership with families\, Support Coordinators\, and plan managers to ensure supports are aligned with each participant’s NDIS plan and goals.  \nWe encourage participants and families to confirm with their LAC or MyNDIS contact that the supports they intend to claim align with their approved funding categories.  \nParticipants using self-managed or plan-managed funding will receive a breakdown of support costs and are encouraged to confirm access to the relevant NDIS line items before attending.  \n✔ What’s Included Under NDIS-Funded Support:  \n\nDirect support by trained staff (1:1\, 1:2 ratios based on participant needs) \n\n\nSkill-building and personal development aligned with participant goals \n\n\nCapacity Building and Social & Community Participation support aligned with NDIS goals \n\n\nCoordination\, planning\, risk management\, and admin \n\n\nQuality and safeguarding standards \n\n\nImplementation of participant behaviour and communication strategies \n\n\nSupervision and support throughout the session \n\n\nQuality\, safeguarding\, and insurance \n\n  \n✔ Costs Covered or Not Covered – Depending on Your Plan  \nDepending on the participant’s NDIS plan and the support item being used (e.g.\, Core Supports or Group-Based Activities under Category 0136)\, the following costs may be claimable:  \n\nAccommodation and meals during overnight stays \n\n\nVenue entry fees and recreational activity costs \n\n\nTransport to and from the activity \n\n\nMaterials and equipment used during the activity (e.g.\, art supplies) \n\nIf the participant is funded under a support item that does not allow these costs (e.g.\, 0125 or 0136 without accommodation provisions)\, These items may be covered through Cahoots donor support\, or may be charged as out-of-pocket costs where applicable.
